Wilson Yarnall Named Student of Distinction

December 13, 2018

North Salem’s Wilson Yarnall was an obvious choice for Student of Distinction, according to his Career and Technical Education teacher Liz Marques. Wilson is a standout in his Digital Film, Video and Audio Production Class and is in his second year in the program at The Tech Center.

“Wilson has excelled in my course for the past two years, and has produced many professional programs,” Ms. Marques said.  “He has a passion for audio recording, and last year was selected to compete in the New York SkillsUSA competition in Syracuse.”
Wilson is also always willing to lend a hand to his fellow students and share his expertise. “He is continuously upbeat and always wants to support his classmates,” Ms. Marques said. “But he is also very humble.”

Wilson has a can-do attitude that is contagious. It is one of the reasons his work is so exceptional, because he gives his all to everything he does, according to Ms. Marques. “Wilson has a cheerful, cooperative attitude in addition to his creative talent, all of which make him an outstanding student,” she said.

Wilson was recognized by Putnam | Northern Westchester BOCES at the North Salem Board of Education meeting on Wednesday, December 12.

Wilson Yarnall is presented with a medal and certificate in recognition of being named a Student of Distinction at the BOCES Tech Center.
