Walden and Pines Bridge School Students Star in Annual Holiday Variety Show

December 19, 2018

Walden and Pines Bridge School students sang about snowflakes and Santa, “rocked” around the Christmas tree and brought the Grinch who stole Christmas to life at the annual Holiday Variety Show, held Wednesday.

In the school gym, transformed into a Winter Wonderland by large paper snowflakes made by Walden and Pines Bridge students, students performed for their classmates, parents and PNW BOCES staff.  As the gym erupted in applause after one act, teacher assistant Debra Canzio praised the hard work that went into the entire show.
“It takes a lot of practice and courage to perform,” she told the audience, “and that’s what we are applauding.” Canzio and art teacher Jesse Steiner stage the annual show, which this year featured musical and dance acts by more than 10 classes from both schools.

Cutline: Student Alex Barasorda brought the house down singing “Last Christmas.”
