DUTIES:
Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates a full time vacancy for a Bus Driver/Maintenance Laborer. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Drives school bus for student field trips, special events, internship opportunities, and when transportation is needed between BOCES buildings.
  • Assists Facilities Department with groundskeeping and outdoor cleaning duties (during non-inclement weather) including mowing, clipping hedges, maintaining entryways, cleaning trash, etc.
  • Assists Facilities Department with various indoor cleaning duties (during inclement weather) including sweeping, moping, snow removal, etc.
  • Maintains upkeep of school buses, cleans the floor and windows, empties wastebaskets and removes any garbage left behind.
  • Other duties as defined by the Director of Facilities (setting up and breaking down conference rooms for large events, directing on campus traffic during events, cleaning equipment, etc.)
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

In addition must have good working knowledge of maintenance practices and protocols and willingness to perform varies manual labor and custodial duties. Must have ability to drive a school bus. Per-diem Psychological Evaluators (Bilingual Preferred)

DUTIES:
The Per Diem Psychologist Evaluator works on a per diem basis for the Guidance and Child Study Center at Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES. The Psychologist uses his/her skills as an evaluator to identify the student’s needs as stated in the referral and determine the appropriate evaluation instruments (i.e. academic, behavioral and/or cognitive evaluation tools), and other steps as needed.

DUTIES:
Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates a full time vacancy for an IT Operations Manager to assist the Director of Information Technology with the supervision of department staff, management of IT Operations/Infrastructure/Services, project management, strategic planning, goal-setting, implementation of industry best practices, etc. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing implementation/planning/project leadership and subject matter expertise in the areas of: organizational intelligence(data), IT applications, infrastructure, telephony, web development, etc.
  • Managing operations/technical projects ensuring that they are of the highest quality and delivered on time.
  • Assisting in the establishment of organizational intelligence systems for gathering, analyzing, and reporting data in usable and meaningful ways.
  • Providing expert “hands on” IT infrastructure and end-user support as necessary.
  • Interacting with the agency end-user community to understand/assess future needs and capitalize on opportunities to improve the delivery of IT services.
  • Preparing technical documentation and conduct training for technical/non-technical agency staff and the end-user community.
  • Working with the Web Application Development team to make updates and drive necessary code-level changes to custom applications.
  • Assisting with budget preparation, monitoring, and management of available funds.
  • Performing other duties as assigned
 

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must qualify through Civil Service (Title to be determined) or possess appropriate NYS Administrator Certification (SDL/SDBL). Additional qualifications of the position include:

  • Experience in leading a technology team, including employee development/management.
  • Proven experience in the leading of operations and technical implementation projects.
  • Understanding of data analysis, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools.
  • Working knowledge of a variety of computer hardware (including servers), software, infrastructure, virtualization, telephony, relational databases, and web development.
  • ITIL, Agile, and/or PMP certification is preferred.
