Students learn the basic of landscaping including pruning bushes and trees, site preparation and landscape design. Where appropriate, students may be offered the opportunity to learn safe operation of heavy machinery such as a backhoe and a log splitter. They may also learn to climb trees using proper safety techniques. Students experience landscaping as a cooperative effort with each participant a vital member of the professional team.
