In this program, students learn to use hand tools and portable stationary power tools through individual and group projects. Some projects have included cabinet making, furniture design and construction. Students also learn rough framing and participate in the construction of a full size shed. Where appropriate and when the work is available, students may participate in live construction on campus. Students learn to work as a team and put together a portfolio which includes a resume, cover letter and a photo display and written description of all their projects to share with a perspective employer.
