Students are exposed to the basics of automobile maintenance including changing engine oil and filters, test cooling systems and replacing fluids, inspecting and servicing brakes, tires, shock and struts, as well as to assist in various other areas of automotive repair. Students learn to identify and, with supervision, safely use an array of hand and power tools in accordance with trade practice. In addition, students learn professional attitudes and behaviors vital for success in a career area.
