As of 2005 there were approximately 55,216 nail salons in the United States.

Approximately 3,500 salons are located in New York State (According to Nail Pro magazine). The nail care profession is a Billion Dollar Industry.
 
The Manicuring/Nail Sculpture program is a one-year, 250-hour, New York State Licensing Program. Students will learn all aspects of nail care that will prepare them for the New York State Nail Specialty exam.
