In this course, you may be climbing a tree one day, running a backhoe the next. You’ll learn to prune trees and move them, to design a landscape and construct one, to move soil and manage turf. With the accent always on safety, you will operate heavy equipment and hand tools, and you’ll learn how to start and maintain your own business. You’ll learn science of soil and plants along with the care and use of pertinent tools and equipment. You will lay out patios, walkways, and walls, then decorate them with your own design incorporating plants, flowers, and shrubs.
