Look through any classified advertising section and chances are you will see column after column of ads seeking nurses. The pay is excellent, the benefits outstanding, and the feeling that comes from helping people is rewarding. In our program, skilled professional nurses will guide both adults and high school seniors through a curriculum that includes nursing skills, medical and surgical nursing, maternal/child care, medications, and psychiatric nursing. You will practice your new skills in hospitals and nursing homes, where you will also be able to network with professionals in the field. You’ll learn even more during a six-week summer internship. On completing the course, you will be eligible to take the required New York State Examination for Licensed Practical Nurses.
