On behalf of the Policy Board of the Hudson River Teacher Center, welcome to our website. HRTC has been in existence since 1986 and has developed into a creative and innovative staff development center with the focus of supporting the professional development needs of all educators.

The Hudson River Teacher Center, located on the campus of Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES, is comprised of the districts of Briarcliff Manor, Croton-Harmon, Hendrick Hudson, Lakeland, Peekskill, and PNW BOCES. The teacher centerís policy board is a composition of teacher, administrator, parent, business, community, and college representatives. Policy board members provide guidance to ensure the center in providing all educators the opportunity to take a proactive role in their own staff development while supporting district, state, and national initiatives. The Hudson River Teacher Center serves all educational professionals; regular, special and occupational education professionals, speech pathologists, support staff, teacher assistants, and aides.

The teacher centerís goal is to offer educators opportunities to obtain advanced degrees, certificate extensions, and to participate in specialized trainings, e.g., Wilson training. These are in addition to the many trainings that are scheduled year round.

Please contact the teacher center with questions or comments regarding courses and trainings available through the teacher center.
