How do staff development programs meet the needs of our teachers? The Hudson River Teacher Center at BOCES provides staff development which support the new standards and assessments required by New York State. Special workshops and courses encourage teachers to learn more about their subject areas and to share techniques and strategies. Our staff development programs include follow-up and coaching sessions.

Our technology loan program allows teachers to use a laptop in their classrooms, take pictures and videos with special cameras, and create colorful posters. They also learn how to integrate this technology into their classrooms. Teacher Center mini-grants fund creative projects and special classroom teacher innovations.
