Pines Bridge Student Named Student of Distinction

April 11, 2018

Ryler Boyle, a student from the Chappaqua Central School District who attends Putnam | Northern Westchester BOCES’ Pines Bridge School, was named a Student of Distinction and honored at the Chappaqua Board of Education meeting Wednesday.

Ryler, who was accompanied to the meeting by family and several representatives from PNW BOCES, received a certificate and medal to mark the occasion. His teacher, Erin Martins, described Ryler as a “wonderful young man who brings energy and fun to my classroom.”
When Ryler started at Pines Bridge, Martins said, he was a “timid, adorable little peanut with his Superman backpack and shy smile. He was curious, yet cautious; he was nervous and excited at the same time.”

This year, Martins said, she has seen Ryler “grow into a boy who is braver, more curious, and more adventurous. He has become a more confident and capable walker. He has started to exhibit more self-directed behaviors, and he is open to new experiences. As his teacher, it is an honor to be part of Ryler’s journey and I cannot wait to see what his future brings.”
