Medical Assistant Students See Pros at Work

April 03, 2019

Medical Assistant students from the Tech Center got to meet their professional counterparts during a visit to a Northern Westchester Hospital facility at Chappaqua Crossing recently. Medical Assistants described their jobs and told students about the vast number of opportunities available to them. “Students saw first-hand many sub-specialties, including the hyperbaric chambers pictured, used for wound healing,” said teacher Maria Pontbriand. “Patients enter the chamber and are treated with oxygen therapy for a period of two hours. The students also met other health professionals and saw state-of-the-art equipment used in the field of rehabilitation and patient care.”
