Administrative Professionals Luncheon Celebrates BOCES Staff

April 25, 2018

“This is one of the highlights of the year,” said District Superintendent Dr. James Ryan, as he kicked off the annual Administrative Professionals Luncheon on April 25 in the Maple Conference Room at the School Services Building.

“We have such a tight-knit family at this BOCES,” he said. “Every day is special here.”
The yearly event celebrates BOCES support staff, and this year’s luncheon featured a delicious buffet prepared by Brian Ledley of Ledley Catering. The mouthwatering spread consisted of roasted vegetables, pasta salad, garden salad, wedge sandwiches, fried chicken, biscuits and, for dessert, blondies and watermelon.

Director of Human Resources & Professional Development Mike Skerritt  addressed the many guests of honor, seated at tables decorated with red and white checkered tablecloths and seasonal flowers: “We are just so thankful for all that you do all year long.”

Richard Kreps, president of the BOCES Board, also praised the attendees for their outstanding contributions to the work BOCES does to support area school districts.

Special thanks went out to Karen Fuchs for coordinating all the details necessary to make the celebration possible, the O & M staff for setting up and taking down the event, Tricia Herbold for designing the invitations and Assistant Superintendent John McCarthy and his wife for the flowers, including a gorgeous arrangement that was raffled off.
