  • BUSINESS OFFICE – OFFICE ASSISTANT (AUTOMATED SYSTEMS)

DUTIES:
Needed full-time, 12-month position to provide general office support in the Business Office.  Responsible for all facets of the mail room, as well as other duties including but not limited to central receiving, fixed assets and reception desk.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must have excellent computer skills; strong communication, organizational and customer service skills; ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks; and ability to deal effectively with staff, administrators, component school district personnel, and other visitors.

  • CURRICULUM & INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES – SENIOR OFFICE ASSISTANT (AUTOMATED SYSTEMS) – WALKABOUT

DUTIES:
Needed full-time, 12-month position to perform a wide variety of tasks providing clerical and office support to the administrator and teaching staff. Respond to the needs of program staff and students. Produce and maintain correspondence, lists, records, mailing materials, etc. required for the day-to-day operation of the school program. Answer/greet all incoming phone calls/guests/mail; assist in the maintenance and security of confidential student files; enter and update electronic student database information to generate reports, mailing lists, labels, attendance lists, etc.; assist with preparation and mailing of recruitment materials to the school districts and prospective students and parents. Act as liaison with Bldg. A staff; process purchase orders; maintain inventory of office and school supplies; operate a variety of office and classroom equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Highly skilled in the use of MS Office suite of software including Outlook, Word, Access and Excel; highly organized and able to multi-task; able to take independent action and initiative. Good communication skills to deal with district representatives, staff, students and parents.

  • CURRICULUM & INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES – SENIOR OFFICE ASSISTANT (AUTO SYS)

DUTIES:
Needed full-time, 12-month position to provide secretarial support in the Curriculum Center. Assist in the coordination of programs such as Women Helping Girls With Choices, Destination Imagination, Young Authors’ Conference. Assist with coordination and day-to-day operation of the Regional Summer School program.  Assist with other Curriculum Center workshops as needed to assemble materials, check in attendees, book rooms, etc. Prepare monthly billing for Curriculum Center workshops and maintain email distribution lists. Additional clerical and office support as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be highly organized and able to multi-task and be able to take independent action and initiative to ensure the timely and accurate processing of the workflow. Proficient in MSWord, Excel, Outlook, and working knowledge of Access desirable. Good communication skills to deal with district representatives, consultants and other departments within BOCES.

Needed full-time to serve as guidance counselor to high school students in Regional/Alternative High School, Oasis and Walden.

QUALIFICATIONS:  
Must have NYS Education Department Certification as School Counselor. Must have knowledge of NY State and local graduation requirements, experience with scheduling and knowledge of community resources.

Modify activities and equipment so that a student with special needs can participate successfully in movement activities. Understand the value of physical and motor activities in contributing to positive self-concepts of individuals with disabilities.
