The Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES Curriculum Center has developed a timely and important curriculum, Education for Sustainability, which provides multidisciplinary web-based lessons that combine engaging and relevant content with the highest quality pedagogy. The curriculum addresses the question, How are we all going to live well within the means of nature? and challenges students to think about issues that affect their future - all within the context of their existing curricula in math, English language arts, science, social studies and the arts. The program is being integrated in Kindergarten through grade 12 classrooms in the region.
