Four complete units of study per grade level emphasize hands-on student centered activities with a sound balance between process and content. Classroom tested and proven, the units of study are all appropriate for cooperative work.

The program's content is relevant to a students' daily lives and promotes the integration of skills with other disciplines, such as English Language Arts and math. At-home family support is encouraged and facilitated.

SCIENCE 21 fosters a learning environment in which all students become independent as well as collaborative inquirers, problem solvers and self-directed learners.

The program gives students a strong foundation for the more rigorous science curriculum and higher graduation requirements that will be demanded at the secondary level.
